Our Services

  • Casa Anandrea offers emergency shelter and temporary housing for LGBTQI+ individuals in vulnerable situations. Temporary and long-term housing is provided for anyone living with HIV who is unhoused.

  • TEL: Trans-Empoderamiento y Liderazgo/Trans Empowerment and Leadership): OLTT hosts support groups dedicated to building connections, empowerment and leadership skills for the trans and queer Latinx immigrant community. To get a better feel for our groups, check them out on Facebook (links below) or message our peer coordinators.

    Vida Positiva (HIV+ Life): Peer support and connections to health care needs for trans/ LGBTQI Latinx migrants living with HIV. Call 713-485-4414 or message a peer coordinator for details.

    Personas con Experiencia en el Comercio Sexual/ Commercial Sex Work Experience: For persons who are currently sex workers or have been in the past as a form of survivorship. This is a peer support group designed to learn about safety and strategies for protection.

    Allies: A group for allies of the trans and LGBTQIA+ Latinx community. Call 713-485-4414 or message a peer coordinator for details.

    Asistencia de Comida para Trans-LGBTQI Latinx / Food Assistance for Trans-LGBTQI Latinx: Monthly distribution of food for 200+ community members, which started in response to food insecurity issues during the Covid-19 pandemic. Call 713-485-4414 or message a peer coordinator for details.

    Sanación y Fortalecimiento Healing and Strength: Support group and mental health assistance for LGBTQI+ individuals who are survivors of sexual assault and human trafficking. Call 713-485-4414 or message a peer coordinator for details.

  • Defensa de Deportación/Deportation Defense: This program is dedicated to fighting for the freedom of undocumented Latinx LGBTQI immigrants, especially trans Latinx women who are at risk of deportation and are currently being held in detention centers by ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). We collaborate with local organizations and attorneys who provide pro bono legal representation for individuals at risk of deportation. Call 713-485-4414 for details.

    Name and Gender Marker Change: This program provides support in processing applications and financial aid for Latinx TGNC (Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming) individuals in need of legal name and gender marker changes on license, passport, birth certificate, and other identification. Call 713-485-4414 or message Gia for more information.

    Protesting is also a vital part of our work, and we organize protests in response to oppression, violence, bigotry, and other injustices as they arise. Follow us on Facebook to add your voice.

  • TGNC–Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Care: OLTT assists transgender and gender non-conforming people in initiating their transition and expressing their identity. Connections to specialty care services and affirming hormone therapy are provided free of charge. Free clothes are available to align gender expression with gender identity.     Name and Gender Marker Change: This program provides support for Latinx TGNC (Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming) individuals in need of legal name and gender marker changes on license, passport, birth certificate, and other identification.   • TGNC–Transgender and Gender Non-Conforming Care: Assists transgender and gender non-conforming people with affirming hormone therapy. Connections to specialty care services and hormone therapy are provided free of charge. Call 713-485-4414 or fill out the membership form for more information.

  • Come celebrate with us! In the last year, we observed Dia de los Muertos in November, organized a posada in December, danced in Houston’s Pride parade in June, and hosted our inaugural Trans and Queer Festival in July, along with the perennial favorite Ms. and Mr. OLTT pageants, and many smaller parties and events.
